Unveiling the workmen

Little workmen on the rail yard

On Friday 14th of October the exhibition on the rail yard of the Dutch Railway Museum was opened. The exhibition offers a look behind the scenes of the rail yard during the steam area.

What happens before a train can leave the station and where does the train go at the end of the day? Where is the fuel stored and who takes care of the safety?

NorthernLight has designed and developed an exhibition that answers these questions and more importantly brings back the human factor on the rail yard. Several yellow little workmen were created and placed across the area. They tell visitors about the ins and outs of his job.

The exhibition is supported with a special tour for children. They are handed a checklist and need to find out what all the workmen do, discover all kinds of secret locations and objects and answer important questions.
