Shenzhen’s energy company leading the way in energy education
” Experience suggests that educated citizens will be more inclined to recognize and adopt new practices and technologies that will help them and their communities prosper. And, with education, those citizens will be positioned to build and maintain energy infrastructures that will sustain their countries for a long time to come” – United Nations Global partnership for education.
With this in mind the energy science centre in Shenzhen was built and designed to educate all children from primary and middle schools in the Shenzhen area about the future of energy.
The interactive energy science centre in Shenzhen, China, tells the story of energy throughout history and around the world. It focusses on global issues as well as local energy supply strategies in the multimillion inhabitants city of Shenzhen. NorthernLight designed all exhibitions and exhibits, developed the visual identity and graphics, as well as scripted all multimedia- and audiovisual exhibits. The cutting edge immersive multimedia games, 30 in total, were developed, programmed and installed by Dutch software development specialists YIPP (www.yipp.nl). The spectacular 360 Energy Dome projection was made by another great Dutch company, ShoSho (www.shosho.nl).
