Stories that matter
On April 15 World Press Photo Exhibition 2022 premiered in De Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam, showcasing the stories that matter with photography from the 65th annual World Press Photo Contest. The flagship exhibition is specially designed by NorthernLight for the space of De Nieuwe Kerk, a 15th-century church in the center of Amsterdam.
New approach
This year the exhibition has a new approach. There is more attention to the new regional strategy, offering a more global and better geographic balance of perspectives. There is a bigger focus on creating mutual understanding, by showing accurate, diverse, high-quality visual stories that benefit the world. And there is the central area focusing on freedom of press, where visitors contribute and share their opinion.
Honored
At NorthernLight we are honored that (again) we were given the opportunity to design the flagship exhibition for World Press Photo. A big thank you to the World Press Photo Foundation for the great cooperation, De Nieuwe Kerk for the amazing location and Iris Vormgeving for producing and installing.
