There is more sound than you can hear

Brand new theme hall in the Museon

Museon recently opened a new theme room on sound, entitled There is more sound than you can hear. In this permanent exhibition, visitors can perform a number of interesting experiments with sound and enjoy some weird sound effects. For instance, the visitor can draw geometrical patterns with the help of sound waves, or wonder how a tone can be rising indefinitely. The exhibition also illustrates two important scales along which sound is measured: pitch and strength. This is done in the form of a comic story that includes interesting examples of well-known sounds, and dialogues that communicate the underlying physical principles.

The exhibition is suited for all ages, and is worthwhile in particular for families with children. There is more sound than you can hear is developed by NorthernLight.
