Corporate Event “Made in Amsterdam”

Objective
NorthernLight designed the overall interior, the graphic elements and the brand experiences for the 2011 corporate event “Made in Amsterdam”. The Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce organized the new year event ‘Made In Amsterdam Region’. This impressive 3000m2 new-year gathering for the manufacturing industry in the Amsterdam region was held in the Haarlemmermeer Expo Building.
Approach
The importance of the manufacturing industry has long been neglected. Yet this sector is important for the regional economy. Other sectors of industry, such as the creative industries and the financial sector contribute to and benefit from a thriving manufacturing industry. Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce has been bringing the parties together at the biggest networking event in the Amsterdam region.
More than 1500 visitors came to the event and were inspired and surprised by the innovative products and companies. NorthernLight designed brand experiences for over 20 companies. The companies were not just simply on display, but every object or item had a twist. Visitors were engaged through magical displays, pepper’s ghost installation, sculptures and hands-on objects.
For additional information or links to websites, visitors were able to scan QR codes near the displays with their smartphone.
Family Quest
The Rijksmuseum app now includes a special Family Quest, which is a unique item within the app. This game can be played by a minimum of two and maximum of four players, each on their own smartphone.
