Power play

Energy is at play everywhere: in nature as well as in technology!

Location

Experimenta, Heilbronn, Germany

Objective

Why do we need to eat? What does a car do at the gas station? Why does a ball bounce? Energy is at play everywhere: in nature as well as in technology! Energy and the law of its conservation are fundamental to our understanding of the world.

Approach

The traveling exhibition ‘Power Play‘  explores the theme of energy. It was developed in honour of Julius Robert Mayer born in the city of Heilbronn in 1814. Mayer played a significant role during the establishment of the law of energy conservation, alongside contributors such as James Prescott Joule. This exhibition emphasizes that science is always an „Adventure“. Research is an open-ended process. It includes a process of searching, exploring, and experimenting.
